Who am I?

My name is Kat Senyk. I am a soft goods designer; a creator and an artist.

“I have been designing and creating forever. Ideas percolate until they need to be brought to life, so…. I design, draft, and sew articles of clothing, accessories and home furnishings whenever I can find/make the time. I particularly enjoy chopping and re-modding; creating new pieces from vintage or up-cycled fabrics and pieces.”

Kat studied fashion design and worked in the fashion industry as a pattern drafter, sample maker and designer in Toronto and England for over 10 years. She established biokat in 1999, a clothing and accessories brand that sold in retail stores in Toronto, Ottawa, and online.

Kat has been designing and creating - clothing, accessories, and home furnishings since then. She prefers to work with woven materials over stretch and will alway lean towards organic fabrics such as wool, linen, cotton, etc.
